Auto-Track on iOS
Co-engineered with Tio, from the first iteration to today: background tracking on CoreLocation, CoreMotion and MapKit, tested on real rides and tuned to stay light on battery.

Co-founder & Head of Product at RideCheck
Adrian leads product at RideCheck and writes much of what riders actually touch: Auto-Track, co-engineered with Tio, the whole app on Android, the 3D vehicle model, and the portal partner workshops log in to.
Adrian Rachman is a software engineer from Jakarta and one of the four co-founders of RideCheck, the vehicle maintenance app that has passed 186K+ downloads. A graduate of Universitas Prasetiya Mulya in Software Engineering, also called Digital Business Technology, Adrian met the rest of the team at the Apple Developer Academy in Bali in 2025, where RideCheck began.
At the Academy, Adrian was the team’s primary front-end developer and co-engineered Auto-Track with Tio: the background trip logging that keeps a vehicle’s odometer current without the rider typing anything. The two built and tested the first iteration together, then kept refining it into the version riders use today, running on CoreLocation, CoreMotion and MapKit with significant-location changes and geofencing so it stays light on battery. Adrian also built the base and the logic that put RideCheck’s interactive 3D vehicle model into the app.
When RideCheck was selected for the Apple Developer Institute for Entrepreneurship in 2026, Adrian became Head of Product and led the move from iOS to Android in React Native and Expo. Auto-Track was the hard part: background tracking kept breaking under React Native, so Adrian rebuilt it natively in Kotlin. The Android app was then optimised until it runs smooth and reliable even on a very budget phone. Since then: the web portal for partner workshops, the front end of RideCheck Pro, and ridecheck.id itself.
Adrian has presented RideCheck’s roadmap and technical architecture to Indonesia’s Deputy Minister of Communication and Digital Affairs, been featured in Bloomberg Businessweek Indonesia, and been the subject of a dedicated post by Universitas Prasetiya Mulya’s School of STEM.
